So in light of a ruling by Joe, I have added some books that I read to Gracie as this year has gone along. Ian was there some of the time, he wasn't always willing to sit through entire chapters. I can't remember where they fit in the specific order, so I just popped them all here at once.
Gracie enjoys big chapter books. In fact, we started reading the Harry Potter series as well, but she took the initiative and started reading ahead of me and was able to finish several of the books by herself. She has also immensely enjoyed the use of audio books this year, disappearing into her room for hours (and sometimes seemingly days at a time) while she devours some books on tape. In combination with actually reading the chapters herself (btw, she's in 2nd grade for those outside readers). However, since I didn't even finish one of the Potter books with her I'm not going to count those here.
Now, I only just saw the top 20 list, so I'll put some thought into that and pop up a post in the next few days.
